SECPA Black Box Theatre and Banquet Hall

 

A Proscenium Black Box Theatre, with seating for 350, a floor level playing space that is sprung throughout, state of the art theatre audio and lighting equipment, a short travel theatrical fly system and a full stage with PVC cyclorama for projection and special lighting effects.

The “Black Box” moniker refers to the space’s ability to be configured in layouts other than traditional proscenium theatre. We can accommodate:

Arena (In the Round)

Thrust (Seating on 3 sides)

Alley (Seating on 2 Sides)

Banquets (Complete Flat Floor) with Round or Rectangular Tables with up to 8 chairs per table

Black Box Theatre Rates:

Not-for-profit/Youth Rate: $210.00/hr + gst

Commercial Rate: $315.00/hr + gst

Not-forProfit/Youth Lecture Hall Rate: $152.25/hr  + gst

Commercial Lecture Hall Rate: $225.75/hr + gst

Style: Theatre, Capacity: 350

 

 

Banquet Hall Rates:

Not-for-profit: $800.00 + gst for 12 hours (until 1:00am)

Commercial : $1260.00 + gst for 12 hours (until 1:00am)

Style: Banquet (layout is changeable) , Capacity: 200

 

Additional Cost:

These costs will be added in addition to your rental rate.

These options cannot be rented outside of the building

 

Not-for-Profit Rates:

Risers: $100.00 + gst

Staging:  Cost depends on size of stage

Table Cloth Rental: $10.00 + gst each (can supply own)

Care-taking Fees: $95.25 + gst/caretaker/event

Insurance: May be Mandatory depending on Event – Price depends on size of event

Security Fees – May be Mandatory  depending on Event –  Price depends on size of event

 

Commercial Rates:

Risers: $130.00 + gst

Portable Stage: Cost depends on size of stage

Table Cloth Rental: $10.00 + gst (can supply own)

Care-taking Fees: $95.25 + gst/caretaker/event

Insurance: May be Mandatory depending on Event – Price depends on size of event
